OAKVILLE, MB, February 21, 2019 – Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, is pleased to announce that as part of its corporate giving program, $5,000 has been donated to the Oakville Community Club in Oakville, Manitoba.

The grant from Corteva Agriscience will help support a new community hall and daycare centre which is slated to include a brand-new kitchen, geothermal heating and cooling system, seating for 300 people and a 40-space daycare. Laura Stewart, Pioneer Hi-Bred sales representative, endorsed the grant.

“We understand that community buildings play a very important role in rural areas, bringing local people together and providing a space for recreation, culture and other essential services,” says John McCulloch, territory manager at Corteva Agriscience. “That’s why we’re pleased to be involved in helping the Oakville community with their new community hall project.”

“After nearly 70 years of service, our current community hall in Oakville is nearing the end of its usable lifespan,” says Ashley Tully, chairperson of the Oakville New Hall and Daycare Fundraising Committee. “We are thankful to Corteva Agriscience™ for their support of our new community centre. It will become a key building in our community for decades to come, serve to bring people closer and help working families that need daycare services.”
