Carla is the finance leader for Canada and a part of the Canadian leadership and commercial leadership teams as well as North American leadership team in the Commercial Finance function of Corteva Agriscience™, the Agricultural Division of DowDuPont.
Her current responsibilities are to drive value for the Canadian region through the delivery of efficient and value-enhancing financial services and insights, while advancing Corteva’s core values. She also plays a key role in providing finance and business planning leadership and decision support.
Carla earned an honours Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing and accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University; she also holds CPA and CMA certifications and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. Her career of 31 years includes finance roles across manufacturing, corporate functions and business units within DowDuPont, including managerial and leadership positions – this experience enables her to bring a broad perspective to her work.
For Carla, simplicity is key in business. She believes that in the complex world of legacy systems, processes and entities, it is all about resisting the urge to get “bogged down in the weeds” – keep it simple, and keep it directionally correct.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at her cottage in the Muskokas, renovating and using power tools.
