1. What is the rainfast of Restore™ II herbicide, Restore™ NXT herbicide with Rinskor™ active, Reclaim™ II herbicide, Grazon™ XC herbicide and Tordon™ 22K herbicide?

  • 4 hours

2. When does Restore II, Restore NXT, Reclaim II, Grazon XC and Tordon 22K require a surfactant?

Restore II: Does not require the addition of a non-ionic surfactant.

Restore NXT: Requires the addition of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Gateway™ adjuvant, at 0.25-0.5% v/v for ground application and 0.25-0.5% v/v for aerial application.

Reclaim II: Requires the addition of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Gateway adjuvant, at 0.2% v/v for ground application and 1% v/v for aerial application.

Grazon XC:

  • Broadleaf weed control – the addition of a non-ionic surfactant is not required.
  • Leafy spurge or toadflax control – requires the addition of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Gateway, at 0.25% v/v for ground application and 1% v/v for aerial application.
  • Tree control – requires the addition of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Gateway, at 0.25% v/v for ground application and 1% v/v for aerial application.

Tordon 22K: Does not require the addition of a non-ionic surfactant.

3. When is the optimal time to apply Restore™ II, Restore™ NXT with Rinskor™ active, Reclaim™ II, Grazon™ XC and Tordon™ 22K herbicides?

  • Herbicide application should be made once the majority of the target weed populations have emerged and are actively growing, prior to flowering. The ideal timing for application will generally be in June through mid-July with the exception of Canada thistle which enters its ideal timing in mid to late July when the majority of plants have emerged.
  • When targeting shrubs such as buckbrush or wolf willow, they must be fully leafed out prior to application. Once the leaves have formed a waxy cuticle, herbicide applications should not be made.
  • Timing varies from season to season due to environmental conditions that influence growth and plant staging.

4. What are the application rates for Restore II, Restore NXT, Reclaim II, Grazon XC and Tordon 22K?

Herbicide Broadcast Applications Spot Applications
Restore II 20 acre/case 24 mL in 10 L of water
(0.24% solution)
Restore NXT 33 acre/case plus 0.25-0.5% v/v non-ionic surfactant such as Gateway™ adjuvant  15 mL (0.15% solution)
50 mL of surfactant
Reclaim II 20 acre/case plus 0.2% v/v non-ionic surfactant such as Gateway™ adjuvant 2.3 g Reclaim II A
17 mL Reclaim II B
20 mL non-ionic surfactant such as Gateway
Grazon XC 1.9 L/ac for weed control Tree rates: contact your Corteva Agriscience™ Range & Pasture Expert 67 mL in 10 L of water
(0.67% solution)
Tordon 22K 1.84 L/ac 50 mL in 10 L of water
(0.5% solution)

Broadcast ground applications should be made with a minimum water volume of 20 gallons per acre.

For Restore II, Restore NXT, and Reclaim II: Thoroughly and uniformly wet the foliage, but not to the point of run-off.

For Grazon XC and Tordon 22K: Apply to foliage until wet, up to the point of run-off.

5. What are the grazing restrictions for Restore II, Restore NXT, Reclaim II, Grazon XC and Tordon 22K?

There are no grazing restrictions for livestock. There is a seven-day grazing restriction for lactating dairy animals for Restore II, Reclaim II, Grazon XC and Tordon 22K.

Withdraw all animals three days prior to slaughter.
